ABOUT ME

Samuel Etienne is a news reporter, show producer and event moderator working for Bloomberg. Etienne is equipped with strong editorial judgement, sound knowledge of global financial markets, business and politics and has a flair for creating tailored, engaging content for cross-platform audiences. He has over a decade of experience managing communications and producing reports for clients in media, military and business environments.

Before joining Bloomberg, Etienne held several roles in the private sector and served in the British Army as an officer within the Royal Regiment of Artillery. He holds BSc Physics and MA Broadcast Journalism degrees, alongside his training in leadership and operational planning at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Etienne has a strong interest in security and international relations, as well as how the two affect financial markets. Etienne previously competed in high-performance sport and enjoys searching for new ways to keep fit.

It was while serving as an army officer that Etienne was exposed to the pivotal role sharing engaging narratives has in influencing others. Coupled with valuable lessons in cognitive and behavioural science, he quickly learned that the medium through which a message is conveyed often has as much impact as the content in the message itself. This drove his decision to learn more about engaging storytelling and examining 'the why' behind a narrative.

Bright, engaging and articulate... Etienne continuously projected his personality and character to enable him to effectively motivate [others]... His written work is of a particularly high standard; producing logical, fluent and accurate reports.
